Working Principle:

Normal Operating State: Individual segments are connected via a hinging system, allowing the cable to bend and swing freely within safe limits without affecting normal installation, retrieval, or operation.

Limit Protection State: When external forces, such as ocean current pulling, vessel anchor damage, or installation handling errors, attempt to bend the cable beyond a critical angle, adjacent segments rapidly contact and lock into each other. Multiple segments interlock in a chain reaction, instantly forming a rigid bending arc that locks the bending radius within a safe value. This dissipates destructive stress across the restrictor itself, thereby protecting the fragile internal fibers, wires, or steel pipes.
