Diverless Bend Stiffener Connectors for I-tube and J-tube Riser Systems

Bend Stiffener Connector (BSC) is a mature field-proven system used to connect bend stiffeners of lines or cables to I-tubes or J-tubes without the need for divers. The system has been widely used in numerous offshore projects, with more than a hundred units supplied, and is suitable for a variety of sea conditions and operational requirements.

Working Principle

The BSC consists of two main parts:

Funnel assembly: pre-installed on the I-tube or J-tube and equipped with a locking mechanism using spring-loaded dogs.

Shaft assembly: secured to the bend stiffener and acts as the insertable mating part.

During installation, the shaft assembly is pulled into the funnel assembly and the locking mechanism automatically engages to complete the lock, achieving a rapid, diverless connection.
